With a BSc in Computer Studies and a number of certifications in various data technologies, Riaz Chowdhury has a wealth of adjacent sector experience to bring to the benefit of Defence.

A highly experienced Senior Data Engineer who has contributed to enhancing data integration and management practices in various markets, Riaz plays a key role in Mission Decisions, linking Engineering and Science teams. Collaborating with our Data Scientists, he supports the entire data science workflow, from ingestion to analysis and reporting. Riaz also has a pivotal role in ensuring data governance - guaranteeing data accuracy, security and compliance with regulatory requirements. 

Riaz has helped many organisations securely integrate external datasets with internal services in order to generate deeper insights into their data. With a profound understanding of the security needs of his previous customers, Riaz has also has experience automating fraud detection systems.  

Known for his methodical approach to problem-solving and his consistent focus on practical and sustainable data solutions, Riaz holds a BSc in Computer Studies from Sheffield Hallam University and has acquired several certifications that underscore his ongoing pursuit of knowledge in data technologies.

Riaz enjoys staying active through sports like football and badminton, though he admits he's a bit out of practice.
